Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a brand-new standalone entry in the Hell Let Loose franchise. It is not a direct sequel or an expansion of the original game. Creating Vietnam as a separate title has allowed us to upgrade and overhaul many core systems that are challenging to change when supporting a live service title such as Hell Let Loose.
This includes a full upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, which has led to major improvements across the board. Much of the existing codebase has been reworked to support new features, mechanics, and visual enhancements. No, it’s not necessary to have played Hell Let Loose before jumping into Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. The Vietnam experience will feature an improved onboarding system designed to help new players get into the action quickly, with a better overview of the game’s mechanics and objectives.
That said, players familiar with Hell Let Loose will find the core gameplay and systems in Vietnam very familiar, which may make the learning curve smoother. But prior experience is not required to enjoy the game.
